Plans include the reconstruction of 25 km pavement on the main road Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda, construction of three-level crossing near Klaipėda, and construction of two underground pedestrian passages at nearby settlements.

For the protection of towns against the noise of transit traffic four bypasses will be constructed.
