Mr. Eligijus Masiulis, Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, and Mr. Michael O'Leary, Chief Executive Officer of the Irish airline Ryanair, today informed about an agreement, which already in May will enable the establishment of Ryanair base for Central Europe countries at Kaunas Airport. Ryanair is also increasing the range of direct flights from Kaunas. In total, from Kaunas Airport there will be 18 destinations to European airports. Discussions with Ryanair airline are also held regarding the further development of Ryanair in Lithuania – the company considers its plans for launching the flights from Vilnius and Palanga airports.
